2013 - 2013 Season

In 2013 Blythe was loaned out to Super League side Bradford Bulls for the full season. Blythe played in the pre-season friendlies against Dewsbury Rams and Leeds Rhinos. He scored against Dewsbury Rams (1 try).

He featured in six consecutive games from Round 1 (Wakefield Trinity Wildcats) to Round 6 (Widnes Vikings). He was injured for Round 7-13 and Round 4 of the Challenge Cup. He returned and featured in Round 14 (Leeds Rhinos) to Round 21 (Wigan Warriors) and also in the Challenge Cup against London Broncos. He missed Round 22-24 due to injury. Matty featured in Round 25 (Castleford Tigers). Blythe scored against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats (1 try), Hull F.C. (1 try), Castleford Tigers (1 try), Huddersfield Giants (1 try), Salford City Reds (2 tries) and St Helens R.F.C. (1 try). He signed a permanent 3 Year Deal with Bradford near the end of the season.
