Matthew Joseph "Matt" Flannery (born June 16, 1977) is an American businessman, and co-founder of the non-profit Kiva with his ex-wife Jessica Jackley.
Flannery is a co-founder and the former CEO of Kiva.org. He was the CEO of Kiva.org from 2005–2015. Flannery began co-developing Kiva in late 2004 while working as a computer programmer at TiVo, Inc. In December 2005 he left TiVo to work on the Kiva project full-time, with now ex-wife Jessica Jackley. Flannery is a Skoll Awardee and Ashoka Fellow and was selected for the Fortune magazine's 40 Under 40 List in 2009. In 2011, Flannery was selected for The Economist "No Boundaries" Innovation Award. Flannery graduated with a BS in Symbolic Systems, and a Master of Philosophy from Stanford University.
