MasterChef is an Indonesian competitive cooking reality show, open to amateur and home chefs based on the original British MasterChef. It is produced by Shine Group and screens on RCTI.

The first episode aired on 1 May 2011, and the season one finale was broadcast on 21 August 2011. The first winner of MasterChef Indonesia was Lucky Andreono, a 28-year-old Furniture Entrepreneur.

The second season of MasterChef Indonesia premiered on 8 July 2012. The second season aired through the week at 5.00 pm, half an hour later than the original timeslot of the first season. The winner of the 2012 series of MasterChef was Desi Trisnawati, a 39-year-old Hotel Director.

The third season of MasterChef Indonesia premiered on 5 May 2013.

The show aired on RCTI every Saturday and Sunday at 4:30 PM local time.

The second season of MasterChef Indonesia premiered on Sunday, 8 July 2012 at 5:30 pm on RCTI. Judges Juna Rorimpandey and Rinrin Marinka returned from the previous season and Degan Septoadji replaced Vindex Tengker as the third judges.

The second season of MasterChef Indonesia brought some changes to the format of the show. Most notably, Vindex Tengker, judge of Season 1, was replaced by Degan Septoadji.

Furthermore, Season 2 began with the 'Top 60' phase of the show, as opposed to the auditions phase. This allows for the audience to begin to identify and connect with contestants, and also allows for more time to be spent in the actual competition phase of the show.

After a season of auditions and Top 60 challenges, the Top 20 were revealed on 15 July 2012:

The third season of MasterChef Indonesia premiered on Sunday, 5 May 2013 at 4:15 pm on RCTI. Judges Degan Septoadji and Rinrin Marinka returned from the previous season and Arnold Poernomo replaced Juna Rorimpandey as the third judges.

The third season of MasterChef Indonesia brought some changes to the format of the show. Most notably, Juna Rorimpandey, judge of Season 1 and 2, was replaced by Arnold Poernomo.
