Marriyum Aurangzeb (Urdu: مریم اورنگزیب) is a Pakistani politician who is the current Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, in office since August 2017 A member of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Aurangzeb previously served as Minister of State for Information in the third Sharif ministry from 2016 to 2017. She was educated at the Federal Government College, Islamabad and Quaid-e-Azam University and later attended the King's College London in the United Kingdom.
Prior to entering politics, she worked as a development practitioner with the WWF. She has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan on a reserved seat for women since 2013.
Aurangzeb was born to Tahira Aurangzeb.
Aurangzeb did her graduation from the Federal Government College in Islamabad and went to receive a M.A in economics from the Quaid-e-Azam University. She later moved to London, where she received a master's degree from the King's College London in environmental and development policy.
