Marshallville is a city in Macon County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,335 at the 2000 census.

Marshallville was founded in the 1820s and originally built up chiefly by Germans. It was incorporated as a town in 1854 and as a city in 1953.

Marshallville is located at 32°27′12″N 83°56′32″W / 32.45333°N 83.94222°W / 32.45333; -83.94222 (32.453423, -83.942159).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.2 square miles (8.3 km2), all of it land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1,335 people, 523 households, and 365 families residing in the city. The population density was 422.8 people per square mile (163.1/km²). There were 582 housing units at an average density of 184.3 per square mile (71.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 20.82% White, 78.43% African American, 0.30% Native American, 0.15% from other races, and 0.30% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.45% of the population.

There were 523 households out of which 29.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 30.2% were married couples living together, 35.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.2% were non-families. 28.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.55 and the average family size was 3.13.
