Marshall Harrison Plumlee (born July 14, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Duke University. He was one of the top-rated basketball recruits in the class of 2011, a McDonald's All-American, and is the younger brother and former high school and college teammate of both Mason and Miles Plumlee.
Plumlee played all four years of his high school basketball career at Christ School in Arden, North Carolina, and was the only Plumlee brother to win four state championships during his time there. While Plumlee played for the Greenies, they had a record of 139 wins and 11 losses.
Plumlee decided to follow in his brothers' footsteps and committed to play basketball at Duke University on July 11, 2010. He chose Duke over Florida, Michigan, Indiana, and Notre Dame.
Plumlee was ranked highly by every major recruiting website; ESPN ranked him as the #36 player in the country, author Art Chansky called him a borderline top 50 prospect in Duke – Carolina – the Blue Blood Rivalry, the Master Collection, while Scout.com ranked him as the #68 player in the country, and Rivals.com ranked him as the #79 player in the country.
