Markinch railway station is a railway station in Markinch, Fife, Scotland, which serves the Glenrothes and Levenmouth areas of Fife.

The station is managed by Abellio ScotRail and is on the main Edinburgh to Aberdeen Line, 33 14 miles (53.5 km) north of Edinburgh Waverley. The station was recently rebuilt to include a new building and park and ride facilities and is now the main station for passengers travelling to Glenrothes, Leven, Buckhaven, Methil and the East of Fife. There are up to ten buses an hour connecting the station with Glenrothes and four to the Levenmouth area. A cycle route has also been completed along the former Leslie Railway into Glenrothes.

Most ScotRail services from Edinburgh to Dundee and Perth (hourly to each) and some services to Inverness and Aberdeen call at Markinch. Southbound there are two trains per hour to Edinburgh. There is one direct service from Glasgow Queen Street each weekday evening. Sunday services are somewhat irregular, running every two hours in the morning & early afternoon but more frequently thereafter. - these run to/from Aberdeen or Inverness northbound.

Two CrossCountry trains from Dundee/Aberdeen to Plymouth via Leeds and Birmingham New Street call each weekday & Saturday morning and two return services from the West Country via Leeds & Edinburgh do so in the evening.
