Mark Gillespie (Entertainment manager)


Mark Gillespie is a British music manager and entertainment executive based in Los Angeles. He is the co-founder and CEO of Three Six Zero, an entertainment management company which specializes in the fields of music, film, television and technology. The company was founded in London in 2007 by Gillespie and Dean Wilson. Gillespie is best known for his work with artists such as Calvin Harris, Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Jessie Ware, Will Smith, Kelis, Mark Ronson, Hurts, Kacy Hill, Shameik Moore among others.

Gillespie, born August 31, 1981, began his career in Birmingham, UK at dance festival Global Gathering and associated club Godskitchen.

In 2007 Gillespie signed the then unknown Calvin Harris as Three Six Zero’s first client. The success of Harris helped the company gain stature in the UK and led to the signing of acts such as Chris Lake, Tom Neville and Deadmau5.

Gillespie is an investor in several technology and lifestyle companies including: Stance, Dubset Media Holdings, Tiny Farms, Maestro.io, Represent, Stem, uBeam, Merry Jane, Ember Technologies and Just Water among others.

Gillespie sits on the core screening panel of the Grammy Organization. He has been nominated for 'Manager of the Year' at the Music Week Awards and in 2014, 2015 and 2016 Rolling Stone listed him on their list of 'The 50 Most Important People in Music’.

In July 2010 Gillespie and Three Six Zero formed a worldwide partnership with the US entertainment company Roc Nation.

In July 2014 Gillespie and Three Six Zero announced the launch of a new record label and music publishing division in cooperation with Warner Bros. Records. In the same year HBO announced collaboration with Gillespie, Jay Z and Will Smith to develop a TV comedy series set in the world of electronic music. In December 2014 Gillespie negotiated a deal for Calvin Harris to be the face of fashion brand Emporio Armani. Also in 2014 Gillespie signed acclaimed singer and songwriter Frank Ocean to Three Six Zero.
