Mark Beard (born October 17, 1948) is the current owner of the American NASCAR team, Beard Motorsports. He is also a retired race car driver himself, driving in only two NASCAR races throughout the course of his NASCAR career.
Beard was born on October 17, 1948. He drove in two races during the 1982 and 1986 Busch Series, with finishes of 18th and 26th, respectively. He did attempt another NASCAR Busch Series race in 1990, but failed to qualify.
In 2014, Beard founded Beard Motorsports and fielded one NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (now Monster Energy Cup Series) team. After the team opened in 2014, Clay Rogers attempted two races with the team in 2014, but failed to qualify for both of them. In 2017, Brendan Gaughan was hired as the team's only driver to drive for the team, and they managed to lock themselves for the 2017 Daytona 500 as an open, non-chartered team.
