Mariemont High School is a public high school located in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. Mariemont is part of the Mariemont City School District. Mariemont High School is known for its high academic standards. Mariemont has been a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence four separate times. The years include 1984-85, 1988–89, 2001–02, 2004-05. Mariemont is the first to receive this award four times in the state of Ohio and the fourth nationwide.
Mariemont offers a college preparatory curriculum with well over 95% of graduates each year going to an accredited college or university. Mariemont offers basic courses in such areas as Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and foreign languages (Latin, Mandarin, and Spanish) wide array of elective classes. There is a strong focus on technology and information literacy skills as well. Mariemont has a seven bell school day. Mariemont offers college preparatory classes, advanced placement classes, foundations courses, dual-credit courses, and a variety of classes that can be taken online through Virtual High School. Mariemont also offers a full program for special needs students.
The Mariemont Indoor Drumline was the champion ensemble of the Tristate Circuit in 2007, 2009 and 2010.
Mariemont's Latin Club functions as a local chapter of both the Ohio Junior Classical League (OJCL) and National Junior Classical League (NJCL).
The Warpath is Mariemont High School's student newspaper. They have moved from being a print publication to an online publication. Newer online issues will be printed on the actual website, but previous issued have had to be accessed through Adobe. The advisor for the Warpath is English teacher, Luke Wiseman. Editors of the paper also write the stories published and do the layout. Students can enroll in the journalism class after their freshman year to work on the paper. http://www.warpathonline.org
Mariemont is part of the Cincinnati Hills League (CHL). It is a small school league with other small schools from mostly east of Cincinnati. Other schools include Deer Park, Finneytown, Indian Hill, Madeira, Reading, Taylor, and Wyoming. Mariemont offers 24 varsity sports. They are as follows:
