Margaret Fletcher


Margaret Fletcher (1862-1943) was a British feminist, and founder of the Catholic Women's League.

She was born in Oxford to an Anglican cergyman. She attended Oxford highschool. She later studied at Slade School of Art. On September 9, 1897, she converted to Catholicism. She travelled to Paris to continue her studies, there is met with people from different backgrounds which raised her awarness to a global level. Margaret's stay in Paris shaped her future work. In 1906, she helped found the Catholic Women's League.
