Marel hf (Nasdaq IcelandMARL) is an Icelandic company that provides equipment, systems and services to the poultry, meat and fish processing industries.

Marel was founded on March 17, 1983, and is headquartered in Garðabær, Iceland. In 2007, Marel changed its corporate identity to Marel Food Systems. However, in 2010, after its integration with Stork Food Systems was completed, the name was changed back to Marel. In 2013, the Company was named supplier of the year by the American Meat Institute. In 2014, the Company won the overall innovation award at VIV Europe as well as for innovation in processing. At the end of 2016, it had 4,556 employees and annual revenues of €970 million. In 2015, Marel announced that it had agreed to acquire the Dutch company MPS meat processing systems. In 2017, Marel announced that it had agreed to acquire the Brazilian company Sulmaq.

Marel focuses on poultry, fish, meat and further processing. The company has worked on technological improvements to the provision of fish fillets. In 2012, Marel won a EuroTier Gold Award for its contribution to environmental conservation and product safety in poultry processing.
