Marc Krickbaum is an American attorney who has been confirmed to serve as the next United States Attorney for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. He previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Southern District of Iowa.
A graduate of the University of Iowa and Harvard Law School, Krickbaum clerked for Steven Colloton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and Mark Filip of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Earlier in his career, Krickbaum served as counsel to the Deputy Attorney General and as a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice. After being nominated to become a U.S. Attorney by President Donald Trump, Krickbaum was confirmed unanimously by the United States Senate on September 14, 2017.
