Malachi Davis (born September 13, 1977, in Sacramento, California) is a sprinter who participated in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games representing Great Britain.
Raised in Davis, California, Malachi was 2X State Qualifier in the 400m in high school. Holding school records in the 400m, he competed at Sacramento City College, and he became the state champion in the 400m and 4 × 400 m. Davis then attended the University of California, Los Angeles on a full scholarship while becoming an All-American and NCAA champion. He was a member of the 4x400 (3:02.12) relay split 45.2 and also a part of the 4x400 indoor record team.
The highlight of Davis's athletic career was his participation in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. Davis qualified in the 400m and 4 × 400 m relay for his mother's country of Great Britain. He was eliminated in the rounds of the 400m, but made the final as part of the 4 × 400 m relay team which ultimately finished 5th.
In 2005, Davis was runner up in the UK trials and qualified for the World Athletics Championships in the 400m and 4x400 relay. Eliminated in the heats in the 400m, Malachi did make the final part of the 4x400 team, taking 4th 2:58.82 (44.3) relay split anchor leg.
In addition to his Olympic Games and training programs for youth, amateurs, and professionals, Malachi has also been the track and field coach at Brentwood School in Los Angeles, California for the last 13 years. Still throughout his running career and coaching, Davis also developed FourMula Gold, a sports performance company that specializes in speed development and athletic conditioning.
