Maize South High School is a fully accredited public high school in Wichita, Kansas, serving students in grades 9-12. The current Principal is Dave Hickerson. The school was established in 2009. Maize South High School is one of two high schools in the Maize School District. The official school colors are vegas gold, black, and white. Annual enrollment numbers are approximately 800 students. Despite the lower numbers than rival, Maize High School, Maize South has still managed to beat them not only once (28-27), but twice (35-7) in football. The Eagles have never beat the Mavericks in the sport. Maize South competes as the Mavericks in the 4A classification of the Kansas State High School Activities Association.
