Lynn is located at 36°0′24″N 91°15′8″W / 36.00667°N 91.25222°W / 36.00667; -91.25222 (36.006640, -91.252121).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 6.2 km² (2.4 mi²), all land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 315 people, 136 households, and 96 families residing in the town. The population density was 50.5/km² (130.8/mi²). There were 151 housing units at an average density of 24.2/km² (62.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.46% White, 0.95% from other races, and 1.59% from two or more races. 0.63% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 136 households out of which 29.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.4% were married couples living together, 14.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.4% were non-families. 26.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.32 and the average family size was 2.74.

In the town, the population was spread out with 25.1% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 26.0% from 25 to 44, 23.5% from 45 to 64, and 17.8% who were 65 years of age or older.
