Luxemburg (town), Wisconsin


Luxemburg is a town in Kewaunee County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,402 at the 2000 census. The village of Luxemburg is located within the town. The unincorporated community of Walhain is located in the town. The unincorporated community of Neuern is also located partially in the town.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 34.2 square miles (88.6 km²), all of it land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1,402 people, 445 households, and 383 families residing in the town. The population density was 41.0 people per square mile (15.8/km²). There were 459 housing units at an average density of 13.4 per square mile (5.2/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.86% White, 0.14% Black or African American, 0.07% Asian, 0.50% from other races, and 0.43% from two or more races. 0.64% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 445 households out of which 45.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 77.3% were married couples living together, 5.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.9% were non-families. 11.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.15 and the average family size was 3.41.
