Luminița Gheorghiu (Romanian pronunciation: [lumiˈnit͡sa ɡe̯orˈɡi.u]; born September 1, 1949) is a Romanian film actress, TV personality and artistic performers in East Central Europe. She achieved international recognition for her roles in The Death of Mr. Lazarescu (2006) and Child's Pose (2013). Gheorghiu's roles have mostly been in Romanian and French, including that in Code Unknown with Juliette Binoche.
Gheorghiu is a 1972 graduate of the Institute of Theatrical and Cinematographic Arts, where she studied under professor Ion Cojar.
