"Love Walks In" is a song written by the group Van Halen for its 1986 album 5150. It is one of the five singles issued for the album.
The song starts with Eddie Van Halen (lead guitar, keyboards) playing a slow synth, and kicks into the song. The song starts in the key of C and moves into F for the band entrance, then going to the relative Dm for the verses. The pre-chorus then jumps to Am, then in the chorus it goes back to C, keeping a cyclic structure. It charted at number 4 on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart and at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Sammy Hagar took the lead guitar solo during live performances, while Eddie plays the same part on the studio recording.
