Love Songs for the Retarded is the second full-length album by pop punk band The Queers. Released in 1993 by Lookout! Records, the album incorporated similar music structure from their last album Grow Up, making it sound more pop punk than raw punk rock.
Ben Weasel of Screeching Weasel wrote two songs with Joe Queer for the album, which were "I Can't Stop Farting" and "Fuck the World". Ben's band later recorded his version of "Fuck the World", which was later included on the re-release of their album Wiggle.
In 2006, The Queers rescinded their master rights from Lookout! due to unpaid royalties. Later that year, they signed to Asian Man Records and reissued Love Songs for the Retarded on CD and LP.
Love Songs for the Retarded is The Queers' highest-selling album, having sold over 100,000 copies.
All songs written by Joe King, except as noted.
