Llanidloes Town Football Club are an association football club based in the Town of Llanidloes, Powys, Wales. The club currently plays in the Mid Wales Football League. Llanidloes Town Football Club dates back to 1875 and was once a major force not only in mid-Wales, but also throughout Non League Football in Wales, winning the Welsh Amateur Cup twice, in 1922 and 1964. The club was also original members of the League of Wales when it was formed in the 1992-93 season, but the club only lasted the one season and were relegated having finished in penultimate position with thirty points from their thirty-eight games.
Since leaving the League of Wales, Llanidloes spent another five seasons in the Cymru Alliance, dropping down to the Mid Wales League in 1999, and then dropping again, to the Montgomeryshire League in 2008. On May 8, 2010 Llanidloes Town Football Club were crowned unbeaten champions of the Montgomeryshire League. The 2010/11 season saw a return to the Mid Wales League and a third placed finish after a final day victory over Carno. On May 11, 2013 Llanidloes Town beat their closest rivals Montgomery Town 3-1 to secure the Mid Wales League title for the first time in 32 years and with it secure promotion back to the Cymru Alliance for the 2013-14 season. 2014-15 saw them relegated back to the Mid Wales Football League after an appeal to the FAW was rejected.
