LiveJasmin is an online adult entertainment website. As of November 2014, it was the third most popular adult website according to Alexa Internet.
Livejasmin was founded in 2001 by György Gattyán, a Hungarian e-commerce entrepreneur. At that time, the site was called Jasmin.hu with the basic idea being to start a kind internet-based reality show (similar to TV reality show) but with some erotic touch to it.
The original idea came from a report in which Gattyán read about the first reality TV performances to start in the United States. He started to develop a system on his own. The design of the page was black with some red elements in the navigation.
In 2003, with the number of visitors growing from a few hundreds to some thousands, György Gattyán established Jasmin Media Group, and the design of the page was changed to red. In 2004, the site was redesigned. In 2006, the streaming technology was changed to Adobe Flash.
In 2014, TV commercials were released under the Jasmin.com brand. Two commercials were submitted and declined by CBS to air during the 66th Primetime Emmys, resulting in them circulating around the web as "banned commercials".
