Little Big Shots is an American children's television and talent show that premiered on NBC on March 8, 2016. The series is co-produced and created by Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey, with Harvey serving as the host of the hour-long show.
On March 14, 2016, NBC renewed the series for a second season, which will premiere on March 5, 2017.
On May 9, 2015, NBC green lighted the series, which has received an order for eight one-hour episodes, featuring "the world's most talented and extraordinary kids". In a press release from NBC, "Harvey will showcase young musicians, singers, dancers and every form of wunderkind in the country, and go toe to toe with them in conversations and interviews, with hilarious results.".....
On Metacritic, the series received a 7.5 out of 10 with generally "Favorable reviews."
The series premiered as a "preview" after The Voice with more than 12 million viewers, it then premiered in its regular Sunday at 8:00 PM timeslot on March 13, 2016 and it proved to be a hit for NBC with more than 15 million viewers.
On September 28, 2016, NBC ordered a spin off to the series titled Little Big Shots: Forever Young centering on elderly contestants showcasing their talent.
