"Listen to Your Heart" is a pop-disco song written by for Sonia's debut studio album Everybody Knows (1990). The single was released in November 1989 as the album's third single. This single reached No. 10 in UK and No. 22 in Ireland. This single's B-side "Better Than Ever" didn't appear on Sonia's debut album.
"Listen to Your Heart" entered the UK singles chart in early December 1989 at number forty-two. After a slow start, the song peaked at number ten five weeks later. "Listen to Your Heart" became Sonia's second UK top ten hit, after her debut single "You'll Never Stop Me Loving You", which reached the top of the UK chart. "Listen to Your Heart" charted in the United Kingdom for ten weeks.
In Ireland, the song debuted and peaked on 4 January 1990 at number twenty-two. It charted for only one week.
In France, "Listen to Your Heart" entered the charts on 3 March 1990 at number forty-six and reached peak position of number thirty-nine three weeks later. The song charted for six weeks there.
