List of rural municipalities in Manitoba

A rural municipality (RM) is a type of incorporated municipality in the Canadian province of Manitoba. Under current legislation, an area must have a minimum population of 1,000 and a density of less than 400 people per square kilometre to incorporate as a rural municipality.

Manitoba has 116 rural municipalities, which had a cumulative population of 259,061 and an average population of 2,233 in the 2011 Census. The province's largest and smallest rural municipalities are the RM of Springfield and the RM of Lakeview with populations of 14,069 and 311 respectively.
