Determining the largest cities in Central America requires defining the terms "Central America" and "city". For the purposes of this article Central America is defined as consisting of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. The two lists presented are based on two different definitions of a city, the urban agglomeration and the city proper.
Estimates for all agglomerations with 300,000 or more inhabitants are included.
All cities proper with a population of 200,000 or more are included.
