List of Shimmer and Shine episodes
The following is a list of episodes for the Nickelodeon/Treehouse TV animated television series Shimmer and Shine. Each season contains twenty episodes.
On February 11, 2016, it was announced that Shimmer and Shine was renewed for a second season. On June 21, 2016, Shimmer and Shine was renewed for a third season consisting of 20 episodes.
A Christmas special. Leah, Shimmer, and Shine visit the North Pole and finds Santa Claus' workshop — and Santa himself! However, when the genies accidentally send him on vacation, they have to work together to get presents to the children along with Leah.
A Halloween special. Leah invites Shimmer and Shine to make a haunted house for the contest of Halloween. Leah also takes advantage of the holiday to introduce Zac to Shimmer and Shine, as friends of hers dressed as genies.
Shimmer and Shine have their first ever sleepover at Leah's house. Meanwhile, Zac stay up late outside with Rocket to watch a meteor shower.
Shimmer and Shine make Leah a friendship bracelet for their "wishaversary". However, it turns out to be magical when Rocket starts chewing on it, causing him to float.
Starting with this season, the remainder of the series now uses CGI animation. Each episode (except the first one) was split into two ten-to-eleven-minute segments. This season introduces new characters such as Princess Samira, the ruler of Zahramay Falls, and her pet peacock Roya, Kaz (Zac's new genie) and his pet Ziffilon Zain, Princess Samira's Mentor, Empress Caliana, and Leah's magical pet fox, Parisa. This season also introduces the series' first antagonists, Zeta the Sorceress and her pet dragon Nazboo. Shimmer and Shine's role as Leah's genies is also revealed to Zac. Leah and Zac also gain the ability to visit Zahramay Falls and go on adventures with their genies.
The genies are summoned by Princess Samira who presents them with a magical Green Burst Gem. When a power hungry sorceress named Zeta uses a potion steal it, Leah and Zac are transported to Zahramay Falls along with Shimmer and Shine, causing Zac to learn the truth about Leah's secret genies. Together with her pet dragon Nazboo, Zeta steals the gem and flees on her flying motorcycle, forcing Shimmer and Shine to chase after her to get it back. After managing to recover the gem with the assistance of Zac and Leah, Princess Samira rewards pair by granting each of them a single wish. Leah and Zac both wish to be able to visit Shimmer and Shine in Zahramay Falls anytime they want. Princess Samira grants their wish alongside Shimmer and Shine, giving them magical genie disguises to wear whenever they visit Zahramay Falls.
