List of Mister Ed episodes


Mister Ed is a U.S. fantasy sitcom that was produced by Filmways. It first aired in syndication from January 5 to July 2, 1961 and then on CBS from October 1, 1961 to February 6, 1966, producing 143 black-and-white episodes over six seasons. On December 10, 1961, that week's telecast was pre-empted by the 1961 telecast of the film The Wizard of Oz.

All six seasons of Mister Ed are currently available on DVD in the U.S.

Mister Ed was the first show to premiere as a mid-season replacement. Note: The episodes are listed in order of production writing and completion; they often do not necessarily fall in line with the date of original airing.

Carol wants to redecorate the house, but Mister Ed insists that his barn gets a makeover first.

Ed goes on a diet to impress a filly. Meanwhile, Wilbur's grouchy father-in-law comes for a visit planning to make a real estate deal with a successful builder. When Ed catches on to the man's scam during his telephone call, Wilbur acts as a go-between to expose the man and his father-in-law sends him on his way.

Ed confuses Wilbur about his father's plans to remarry.

Addison's letter to the editor fails when he wants the bridle path removed so that they can use the space to add on to the golf course.

Ed becomes unemployed after he works for a month at a riding stable. Meanwhile, Kay's lazy brother, Ralph Fenton, is a press agent out of work who drives Addison crazy due to his antics. Ralph and Mr. Ed's paths cross when Wilbur decides to help Ralph get publicity from Ed receiving an unemployment check.

Note: As Ed raises his head after Wilbur awakens him by popping a paper bag, you can see a man's hand holding Ed's leg in the lower left side of the frame.

Ed, who is a die-hard Dodgers fan, phones Leo Dorocher and gives him tips.Wilbur and Ed go to Dodgers Stadium to help Leo Dorocher and Ed hits a home run when hitting a ball thrown by Sandy Koufax.

Wilbur and Ed get lost while out for a ride in the park. They happen across a few hobos and one complains "mulligan stew, that's all we been eatin" then Ed invites them to have dinner and sleepover with the Posts while Carol's father is visiting for the day.

Wilbur's former Air Force commander, Gordon Kirkwood and his wife Winnie come to town and park their trailer in the Post's back yard. As the trailer is sitting there, Ed feels that his territory is being invaded.
