List of Maison Ikkoku episodes

This is a complete list of episodes of Maison Ikkoku, an anime TV, OVA, and film series based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi. There were 96 regular episodes, three OVAs, an animated film, and a live action film.

The anime utilizes five opening theme songs; "Kanashimi yo Konnichi wa" by Yuki Saito (ep.1-23, 25-37), "Alone Again (Naturally)" by Gilbert O'Sullivan (ep.24), "Suki sa" by Anzen Chitai (ep.38-52), "Sunny Shiny Morning" by Kiyonori Matsuo (ep.53-76) and "Hi Damari" by Kōzō Murashita (ep.77-96). It has six ending themes; "Ashita Hareru ka" by Takao Kisugi (ep.1-14), "Ci·ne·ma" by Picasso (ep.15-23, 25-33), "Get Down" by Gilbert O'Sullivan (ep.24), "Fantasy" by Picasso (ep.34-52), "Sayonara no Sobyō" ("Sayonara no dessan") by Picasso (ep.53-76) and "Begin the Night" by Picasso (ep.77-96).

Kyoko visits her parents, the Chigusas, who want her to quit being manager of Maison Ikkoku and come back home. However, she tells them she won't and begins to think of all the positive things about the house she likes. Attempting to fix the balcony, she nearly falls to her death; however, Godai saves her with a loving embrace. Annoyed that the tenants aren't nice and have trouble paying their rent on time, Kyoko discovers termites have begun infesting the building. Calling in an exterminator and contractors, Kyoko watches as Ikkoku is fixed up. At the same time, Godai wants the hole, which Yutsuya uses to invade his privacy, sealed. Yutsuya threatens to reveal he's heard Godai call out Kyoko's name at night while doing "something"; Godai lets him call it out, thinking that Kyoko is outside and can't hear due to a passing plane. However, Kyoko was at the foot of the stairs and asks Godai to clean his room so the hole can be repaired and Yutsuya can't reveal anymore secrets.

Finals approach and Godai has fallen behind in all his classes because of his hospital stay. Sakamoto helps him out by providing a copy of all his notes and answers to old tests. Kyoko decides to make sure the other residents stay out of his room and don't do any loud partying until finals are over. Kyoko is also being more affectionate than ever and even prepares his meals. As Godai studies for his last test Kyoko promises to wake him up the next morning, but the tenants decide to party in Kyoko's room, so she doesn't get any sleep .
