List of IMAX venues

This is a list of worldwide IMAX venues.

The IMAX theaters listed on this page are Digital 3D, except those noted as 15/70 mm, Laser, or Dual Projection (which have both 15/70 mm and digital capability).

Digital 3D IMAX theaters use two 2K resolution projectors with xenon light sources, use linear polarized 3D glasses, and are capable of displaying aspect ratios as tall as 1.89:1.

15/70 mm locations use 70 mm film projectors, with the film running through the projector(s) horizontally, each frame being 15 perforations wide. 3D presentations are shown using two projectors and either linear polarized or LCD shutter glasses. These locations are capable of displaying aspect ratios as tall as 1.43:1.

IMAX with Laser locations use two 4K resolution digital projectors with laser light sources, with 3D content using Dolby 3D wavelength multiplex visualization. They are capable of displaying aspect ratios as tall as 1.43:1.
