List of Hawkwind band members

Over 50 musicians have passed through Hawkwind over the years, but Dave Brock has been at the heart of the band since they formed. Richard Chadwick is the second longest serving member of Hawkwind after Dave Brock, joining in 1989, and still occupying the drumstool to this day.

Other band members with significant recording careers outside of Hawkwind have included Lemmy (who went on to form Motörhead), Alan Davey, Nik Turner, Huw Lloyd Langton, Robert Calvert, Paul Rudolph, Simon House, Steve Swindells and Ginger Baker. Hawkwind have been known for giving credit to non-musician members of their crew as well, such as Liquid Len (a lighting engineer), Stacia (a dancer), and Michael Moorcock (a lyricist and author).

Hawkwind's distinctive graphic design was created by Barney Bubbles, who later created the graphic identity for Stiff Records.
