The twelfth season of the television series Dallas aired on during the 1988-1989 TV season.
In alphabetical order:
Leigh McCloskey returns as Mitch Cooper for one episode, without being credited as "also starring" - making him the only Dallas example of a billing demotion from also starring status to guest star. Gayle Hunnicutt joins the cast as Vanessa Beaumont for three episodes, while other additions to the cast include Jeri Gaile (Rose Daniels McKay), J. Eddie Peck (Tommy McKay) and John Hoge (Detective Ratagan).
Also - Margaret Michaels makes one appearance as former main character Pamela Barnes Ewing, and Jenna Pangburn appears in two episodes as Pamela Rebecca Cooper, a character played by Deborah Kellner in telefilm Dallas: J. R. Returns and Julie Gonzalo in the 2012 Dallas revival series.
Returning writers include showrunner Leonard Katzman, Mitchell Wayne Katzman, Arthur Bernard Lewis, and Louella Lee Caraway, and they are joined by Howard Lakin, who wrote several episodes for seasons 4-6 newcomers Simon Masters, Jonathan Hales.
Series star Larry Hagman (J.R.) joins Leonard Katzman as executive producer, while Howard Larkin is the shows new producer. Cliff Fenneman, having served as associate producer since the first season, is now billed co-producer, alongside Mitchell Wayne Katzman, while Arthur Bernard Lewis remains as supervising producer. Also: writer Louella Lee Caraway is also billed executive coordinator.
