List of Black September attacks

From its foundation in 1971 until 1976 Black September carried out a number of terrorist attacks against Israeli and Jordanian targets around the world. It also inspired a number of "copycat" and solidarity actions, as well as hoaxes. In 1970 King Hussein of Jordan declared military rule, expelling and killing thousands of Palestinian fedayeen (self-sacrificers). The main motivation of the group is avenging the death of Abu Ali Iyad, the last charismatic leader of the fedayeen, whose torture and murder was intended as a symbol of defeat for the Palestinian guerrillas.
