BBC News employs many presenters and correspondents who appear across television, radio and contribute to BBC Online. BBC News provides television journalism to BBC One bulletins and the rolling news channels BBC World News and the BBC News Channel in the United Kingdom. In addition BBC News runs rolling news network BBC Radio 5 Live and the international BBC World Service. They also contribute to strands across BBC Radio 4 and bulletins on all radio networks. The BBC has over 200 correspondents based both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Many of the presenters below also work on other BBC News output, and some also work in other parts of the BBC. Other BBC News presenters also provide relief presentation on programmes broadcast on these channels.
Many of the below presenters appear, as relief presenters, on programmes other than those listed both on The BBC News Channel and elsewhere within BBC News. This table only includes presenters who appear between 08:30 and 0:00 as overnight and breakfast presenters are included elsewhere on this page, and does not include presenters who only present on programmes that are simulcast on BBC 1.
Output between 00:00 and 06:00 is shared with BBC World News, as are Outside Source, World News Today, and Business Live. 100 Days (temporary replacement for World News Today) is also shown on BBC World News and also BBC Four (until 19:30). Between 06:00 and 08:30 Monday-Friday, 10:00 Saturday and 09:00 Sunday, Breakfast is shared with BBC One (except on Sundays during the football season when BBC One leaves Breakfast Early). BBC One news bulletins are normally shown on the News Channel, however during major breaking news when the News Channel may choose to simulcast with BBC World News. Dateline London is also shown on BBC World however only the News Channel shows it live.
Increasingly relief presentation is being fulfilled by regular presenters working additional days or at different times than usual, therefore many of the presenters listed above also appear on other programmes than listed as relief presenters. Additionally many relief presenters work freelance and therefore the arrival and departure of relief presenters is rarely announced meaning that this list is likely to be out of date.
