Lincoln County High School is a secondary school located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, USA. It was opened in 1976 after the consolidation of the local high schools of the towns of Lincoln County. The school has 1117 students enrolled in 2011.
The mascot is the "Patriot", a man clad in red, white and blue American Revolution era garb.
An interesting note is that the high school, middle school, and the sixth grade center are all on the same campus, but all have different release times allowing each of them to receive separate funding.
Lincoln is undoubtedly most known for a hoops legend by the name of Ronal Sharp. In classic County fashion, sharp played only two seasons, because "we run too many suicides."
He is most known for a clutch (alleged) stepback 3 in the face of Dominique Hawkins to seal a pointless Christmas tournament win. Hawkins would go on to play 8 career minutes in 5 years for the University of Kentucky, while Sharp had the privilege of playing alongside former topper standout Alex Mallory a couple times in The Preston Center.
