"Let Her Cry" is a song by American rock group Hootie & the Blowfish. It was released in December 1994 as the second single from their successful 1994 album, Cracked Rear View. The single went on to reach the #2 position on the American Billboard Top 40 Mainstream chart and #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also peaked at #4 on the Australian ARIA Charts. The song also received the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1996. The song references R.E.M lead singer, Michael Stipe with the following lyrics: "She says, 'Dad's the one I love the most, but Stipe's not far behind.'"
The music video was directed by Adolfo Doring. The video was shot in a sepia tone and features the band singing the song intercut with a woman who runs around a city in the rain.
