Leslie Pack Kaelbling is an American roboticist, a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She was a graduate of Stanford University (Ph.D., 1990) and a student of Nils J. Nilsson. Her research focuses on decision-making under uncertainty, machine learning, and sensing with applications to robotics.

She is the founder and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Machine Learning Research. In 2000, she was elected as a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence.

On March 16, 2012, Kaelbling was selected as an MIT MacVicar Fellow for her dedication to undergraduate teaching. As a recipient of this prestigious award, Kaelbling will receive a $10,000 annual stipend for the duration of the 10-year fellowship.
