Legislative districts of Zamboanga City

The Legislative districts of Zamboanga City are the representations of the highly urbanized city of Zamboanga in the of the Philippines. The city is currently represented in the lower house of the Congress of the Philippines through its first and second congressional districts.

Prior to gaining separate representation, areas now under the jurisdiction of Zamboanga City were represented under the Department of Mindanao and Sulu (1917–1935), Zamboanga Province (1935–1953) and Zamboanga del Sur (1953–1972).

Zamboanga City was represented in the Interim Batasang Pambansa as part of Region IX from 1978 to 1984. The city first elected its separate representative in 1984 when it returned one representative to the Regular Batasang Pambansa. It was provided a lone congressional district under the new Constitution which was proclaimed on 11 February 1987, and elected its member to the restored House of Representatives starting that same year.

The enactment of Republic Act No. 9269 on 19 March 2004 divided the province into two congressional districts, which began to elect their representatives in the 2007 elections. Veterans Avenue forms a significant portion of the boundary line between the two districts.
