Left-wing Coalition (Italian: Coalizione di Sinistra) refers to a proposed, and actually hypotetical political alliance of political parties in Italy.
The parties of this alliance often opposed the policies of the former Prime Minister and Secretary of the Democratic Party Matteo Renzi, who is considered too moderate and centrist.
They opposed the new electoral system, the "Rosatellum", proposed by the Democratic Party.
Along these, other organisations are interested to create a left-wing coalition. For example Popular Alliance for the Democracy and the Equality (commonly named "Brancaccio", for the theater where it was founded), a coalition of parties, movements and individuals, and Network of the Cities in Common, a network of civic lists.
