Lake Park Estates Neighborhood Association, Inc. (LPENA) advocates for and represents the interests of homeowners and residents of the Lake Park Estates of Dallas, TX.
As a neighborhood association instead of a homeowner's association, LPENA is a voluntary organization that does not own any property. However, LPENA maintains decorative entryways on public easements and landscapes Waterford Circle, a traffic island at the intersection of Waterford Dr. and Tranquilla Dr. (map).
LPENA incorporated as a Texas nonprofit corporation in 2006 [1], replacing an informal organization of a similar name. All assets of the informal organization were donated to the corporation within a year of incorporation.
As of 2008, LPENA is recognized by the IRS as 501(c)(4).
LPENA is operated by a board of 9 directors, all of whom are elected annually by the membership. Five of these directors are simultaneously elected into offices of president, vice president, vice president for communications, treasurer, and secretary.
