La Dolores is an opera by Tomás Bretón.
La Dolores was first performed at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid on 16 March 1895 and was an immediate success. The libretto by the composer was based on a 1892 play by his friend, Josep Feliu i Codina.
It had 53 consecutive performances in Madrid and another 103 in Barcelona. The title character Dolores is a maid at an inn in Calatayud.
Antoni Ros-Marbà's recording of Plácido Domingo in La Dolores for Decca won the Grammy Latino in September 2000.
