La Colorina

La Colorina ("The Redhead") was a Chilean telenovela based on a story by (1920-1994) realized by Protab in 1977 for Televisión Nacional de Chile. It has been remade three times and is the dramatist's best known work.

La Colorina's atypical protagonist, a prostitute, was interpreted by for the television network TVN. In 1980 the Mexican television network Televisa made the adaptation titled Colorina, starring Lucía Méndez, and whose interpretation is still remembered. In 1993 an Argentine version was realized entitled Apasionada, whose Colorina was interpreted by Susú Pecoraro. In 2001 Televisa made a new adaptation called Salomé (telenovela), whose protagonist, Edith González, left behind her colored hair.
