The Kyuss Lives! Tour is a 2011 concert tour by Kyuss Lives!, a spin-off band featuring three former members of the stoner rock band Kyuss. It is the first tour since the "original" Kyuss broke up in 1995, and marks the first time in 19 years that John Garcia, Brant Bjork and Nick Oliveri have performed together. The tour also marks the band's first outing with guitarist Bruno Fevery, who has taken Josh Homme's place. Scott Reeder, who was in Kyuss from 1992 to 1995, temporarily filled in for Oliveri on some European and all Canadian shows.
After Kyuss broke up in 1995, there had been frequent and persistent speculation among fans regarding the possibility of a Kyuss reunion.
In 2010, a European "John Garcia plays Kyuss" tour was announced, starting with a gig at Roadburn Festival. His backing-band is composed of Belgian and Dutch musicians from Agua de Annique, Kong, Celestial Season and Arsenal. The setlists will almost exclusively contain Kyuss songs. Brant Bjork and Nick Oliveri have joined John Garcia onstage for several concert appearances on the tour, representing 3/4 of the original band lineup. In July of the same year, it was announced that Garcia, Oliveri and Bjork will reunite for a reunion tour under the moniker "Kyuss Lives!", with Bruno Fevery added as the band's guitarist. The tour would pass through different countries of Europe, Oceania and South America. After the tour, the band plans to record a new studio album for a 2012 release. In reference to the new band name, in the Dec/Jan'11 issue of Rock-A-Rolla Garcia stated that "there is never going to be a Kyuss without Josh Homme." He went on to state in the same interview that "Hopefully in the future him and I can get together and do some writing."
