The Kwahu East District is one of the twenty-one (21) districts of the Eastern Region of south Ghana. The capital is Abetifi.
The Kwahu East district Ghana territorial division was announced in October 2007. The Kwahu East district was created and inaugurated on 29 February 2008 by NPP John Kufuor.
