The Korean Music Awards is a major music awards show that is held annually in South Korea. The award ceremony was first held in 2004 and it acknowledges the achievements made by music artists in the past year. The winners are decided by a panel of judges consisting of music critics, music radio PDs, and other professionals within the industry.
The event has 24 categories, including the Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Netizens' favorites and a Life Achievement Award.
