Koreaboo is an English-language web portal for viral South Korean content. Launched on October 4, 2010, it has grown to become one of the most popular content platforms for international readers with over 10 million readers worldwide.

The website mostly focuses on the South Korean entertainment and celebrity industries, but has expanded into reporting on trending cultural, technology, and lifestyle news to great success.

Since launching in 2010, Koreaboo has expanded its reach by producing multiple concerts, festivals, and auditions. By 2012, Koreaboo caught the attention of Korean mega-conglomerate CJ E&M and co-founded KCON, the largest K-Pop convention held in the United States.

Koreaboo is also credited with first discovering South Korean singer Wendy, who is now part of SM Entertainment's girl group Red Velvet, in 2010 during their Cube Entertainment Auditions in Vancouver, BC.

Koreaboo's CEO Flowsion Shekar was quoted in Billboard Magazine regarding his participation in the first K-Pop panel at SXSW in 2012. He participated alongside noteworthy panelists Ted Kim (Executive VP of CJ Entertainment), David Zedeck (CAA), and Jeff Yang (Columnist for The Wall Street Journal), with the panel moderated by Sang Cho (Chief Operating Officer of Mnet America). He was also quoted representing Koreaboo in an article by The Wall Street Journal regarding Girls’ Generation's historic win at the first-ever YouTube Music Awards in 2013.

On January 3, 2015, Koreaboo and Korean media portal Dispatch announced that they had entered into an exclusive partnership to deliver Dispatch's Korean content in real-time in English through Koreaboo. Two days later on January 5, 2015, Koreaboo and TV Report also announced an exclusive partnership, which allows TV Report's wide variety of Korean news to be translated and consistently covered by Koreaboo before other international media sites.
