Chinnappa Thevar under his own productions company Dhandayudhapani Films. Music by Shankar - Ganesh duo assets to the film. The film starring Sreekanth, Prameela in lead roles with Thengai Srinivasan, M. Bhanumathi, Nagesh, S. N. Lakshmi, Major Sundararajan and S. A. Ashokan portraying supporting role. The film was remade in Hindi in 1973 as Gaai Aur Gori and in Kannada in 1973 as Seethe Alla Savithri.
