Kiribathgoda is a large suburb of Colombo city, and is situated on A1 highway, from Colombo to Kandy between Kelaniya and Mahara/Kadawatha in Sri Lanka. It is the first commercial E-Suburb in Sri Lanka. This suburb located 12 km away from Colombo city center Fort. It is also linked to Makola by road. There is also a Bus Stand at Kiribathgoda.
Sinhalese ethnicity dominates Kiribathgoda with a majority of Sinhalese belonging to Buddhism & a significant minority belonging to Christianity (Majority; Catholicism). There are multitudinous number of Buddhist temples spread throughout Kiribathgoda & a Catholic church in the outskirt of Kiribathgoda.
By vehicle: Arrival from Bandaranayake International Airport, 40 minutes drive to Kiribathgoda, from Colombo on the Kandy road it takes half hour time.
By bus: You can take any bus run through Kandy road.
Kiribathgoda is near Wattala, Mahara, Makola & Kaleniya.
