Kingsley is a small village in the Staffordshire Moorlands near to Cheadle, and situated on the A52 from Stoke on Trent to Ashbourne. The civil parish population taken at the 2011 census was 2,204.
Nowadays it is a quiet rural village, but 100 years ago it was the centre of the Churnet Valley Iron Mining Industry. Partly as a consequence of this, Kingsley at one time had many pubs, but today only one remains, The Bull's Head, in High Street. In recent years, the old Swan pub has been converted into a large family home, and The Plough has been demolished and the site of the pub and its car park now have houses built on it.
The village is very close to Alton Towers.
It has one primary school called St Werburghs Primary School named after the local parish church.
