Kim A-joong (born October 16, 1982) is a South Korean actress, model and singer. She graduated from Dongduk Women's University, attended Korea University, and attended the International Hotel Management Institute Switzerland. She is best known for playing the main character in the 2006 critically acclaimed romance comedy 200 Pounds Beauty.
Kim Ah-joong is a an actress, model, and singer who rose to stardom from her roles in numerous films and commercials. She is best known for her role in the highly successful 2006 South Korean comedy movie 200 Pounds Beauty, where she played an overweight girl who undergoes cosmetic surgery makeover to become a pop sensation. For this role, she was awarded Best Actress in the 2007 Grand Bell Awards. She did her own singing in the movie, including "Beautiful Girl" in the opening credits music and the Korean version of the song "Maria". Prior to this role, she appeared in a few other acting roles, including the popular KBS TV series Bizarre Bunch.
In December 2012, Kim co-starred with Ji Sung in the romantic comedy film My PS Partner. She joined Kim Rae-won to star in the 2014 SBS television series Punch. In 2016, she was the main female lead for SBS drama Wanted.
